President

 
  Preside over all PTA activity, provide oversight to Board, and be primary liaison to school leaders. Support Roles include Vice President, President-appointed Parliamentarian, and officers, Secretary and Treasurer.  
     
  Vice President  
  Assist President in providing oversight and organization of Executive Board business/activities. Key special projects may be assigned by President or Executive Board based on need and interest.  
     
  Parliamentarian  
  Appointed by the President, this role is a non-voting member of the Board and is to act as counsel to the President and Executive Board on parliamentary procedure, including Bylaws, Standing Rules and Robert’s Rules. Additionally, the Parliamentarian drives the Nominating Committee Process, conducts a bylaws review to bring forth and discuss any amendments.  
     
  Secretary  
  The Secretary is the record-keeper of the Executive Board. They are responsible for board-level correspondence that includes the sending of executive board 
and membership meeting notices, records the minutes of all executive board and membership meetings, and collects and preserves documents relating to the PTA – past and present. Support Roles include: Historian
 
     
  Treasurer  
  The treasurer’s responsibility is to responsibly manage and report on PTA funds. This includes maintaining books of account and records including bank statements, receipts, 
budgets, etc and providing financial reports at regular executive board and membership meetings, and as requested by the executive board or membership. The Treasurer makes disbursements in accordance with the budget adopted by the membership and files the appropriate Form 990 within 60 days of fiscal year end; complete and file all additional tax documents. Support roles include: Assistant Treasurer, Audit Committee, Finance Committee
 
     
  VP Membership  
  The VP of Membership assists and coordinates the efforts of membership the membership experience and builds an engaged pipeline through membership activity. 
This includes maintaining data in Membership Toolkit as members enroll and submit membership data to the Texas PTA on a monthly basis; manage the process of 
spirit wear and other school spirit items; create incentives to help retain and encourage new PTA members; offer membership social opportunities (Member Meet Ups) to increase member engagement and enroll new members in the PTA; and take attendance at all PTA meetings, including childcare. Support roles include: Member Meet Up Chairs, Spirit Wear Chair/Committee, RECPTA Liaison, Dad’s Club Liaison, if wanted, Volunteer Chairs (lower and upper to help drive volunteer participation)
 
     
  VP Ways and Means  
  The VP Ways and Means works closely with the President and Treasurer to oversee all fundraising activity and needs for the PTA. They are in charge of finding the ways to raise the means that pay for all the things! Key responsibilities include the fundraising component of the two annual fundraising events: Monster Mash in the fall and Rosemont Ranch in the spring. Additionally, Ways and Means oversees the Marquee rental, and Bison Buddies community partnership initiatives, along with the donations of goods and services (in-kind), and grant writing activity for fundraising needs. Support Roles include: Monster Mash Chairs/committee, Rosemont Ranch Chairs/committee, Bison Buddies Chairs/committee.  
     
  VP Teacher and Staff Appreciation  
  The VP of Teacher Appreciation oversees teacher and staff appreciation events including Back to School in-service lunch at each campus, managing the “Stock the Teacher’s Lounge” program, Teacher Holiday Party, and Teacher Appreciation week. Support roles include: Teacher’s Lounge Chair, Teacher Appreciation Week Chairs, if desired, Grade Level Liaisons and a Teacher Appreciation Committee (to assist with monthly appreciation needs)  
     
  VP School Activities  
  The VP of School Activities oversees in-school educational programming at both campuses which includes PTA Meeting speakers and performances, 
STEM night, Heritage Day, Book Fairs, Author Visits, Hispanic Heritage Month, Black History Month, and other programming that supports the furthering, enhancement, or display of academic achievement. Support roles include: STEM Night Chairs and any committee or chair position to assist the program planning for this position.
 
     
  VP Community Programs  
  The VP of Community Programs coordinates community-driven programs for our Rosemont Community such as our two community events, Boo Bash and Color Run, as well as any additional community-driven opportunities that are within the scope of campus goals and PTA parameters. Work with President and School Leaders (principals) on other non-fundraising, community-facing efforts. Support roles include: Boo Bash Chairs, Color Run Chairs, Upper School re-opening Celebration Committee  
     
  VP Advocacy:  
  The VP Advocacy’s role is to help guide and strengthen the focus of the mission of PTA through advocacy awareness and action locally, state-wide, and nationally. This role will provide applicable legislative reports to educate members at PTA meetings, network with PTA advocacy leaders in our community to collaborate on common goals, identify policy issues of interest to your PTA membership and monitor through local and national media, school district policies, school board meetings, and PTA resources, and organize Rally Day in legislative years.
